MyByk Cycle Dock
MYBYK is India’s first cycle sharing program, implemented in Ahmedabad. The concept of cycle sharing is fairly new to India and needed to be properly communicated to the people, attracting and tempting more and more people to avail the service. For the purpose cycle by itself was not enough, the cycle stations needed to generate a general inquisitiveness in the common man to find out and know more. A modular, scalable model was pitched which looked like a fancy aircraft hangar, with transparent sheets showing the buzz inside live to people outside. Being a public installation the transparency also ensures a visual security, by the people, who would eventually care for it as their own. The module included a parking module, a service module, a maintenance module and a rest room for the staff.
